I returned to the reception (which by the way, was the only way to communicate with them as the phones never worked the entire time we were there). If we'd felt that was going to remedy the situation, we would have done that in the first place. She gave me a plunger and told me to unclog it. By the evening there was a different girl at reception that knew nothing of our predicament. Sure enough, we returned late that night to a clogged toilet. We told her about it and she said she'd get maintenance to look at it, but "they may not get to it today so in that case we'd have to move to another room." By the way she said it, I had the feeling that not a single thing was going to be done about the situation. The toilet was about to overflow, but we got it turned off in time. We checked in to our room and immediately discovered the toilet was not flushing properly, resulting in a potential disaster. The girl at the reception was useless and was more interested in browsing the internet. We stayed one night here in September by booking through orbitz (prepaid).
